I just found a '76 parts car. It's stripped to the bone, but the 8" rear is still there. I'm going to get it for my '71 Runabout, and would like to know what ancillary parts I should grab while I'm there. I think I read that the leaf springs are not compatable, but what else IS?
I'm going to get the steering wheel, since the stock Pinto one is just too thin and huge. Will that bolt up? And does anyone know how wide the tires are on that Cobra II? I'm thinking of grabbing them as well. Thanks,
-Mike
Hey Mike,
the Steering wheel will work on a Pinto and the wheels are a bit wider 1/2" I think.
Seem like there are a bunch of parts if the rear axel and wheels are intact..
Manifolds and motor mounts would come in handy if they are there????
Possibally trany cross member???
Wiring harness????
From Pintony in Illinois
I agree, motor mounts and brakets, exhaust manifolds, tranny + bell, oil pan, and coil springs if they are there.
Are you in MA?
