Title: Pinto/Bobcat Rear Axle Codes

Hi,
Would anyone here know of a Pinto site that has a tech section showing the axle codes for the Pinto/Bobcat wagons?
I'm looking for a trac loc for my II. There's a local yard I deal with that has some wagons. I want to check the 8" rears. A few #'s I saw on the door tags were 4 and 6.
This will save me the trouble of jacking up each car and checking for the rear id tag.

Hello  IICoupe,
It is unlikely that you will ever find a T-loc rear in any salvage yard.
Those guys know what the code is and they pull them for their buddies.

Just spend the bucks for a rebuilt unit on ebay. You will be money ahead!!!!

IF THE RATIO IS 3.25 THE TAG WILL READ 3L25 THE L FOR LIMITED SLIP.
