hey all,  building the fuel system and placed in this type of pump.

mr gasket 35 gal/ph pump, and what i wanted to know ask is...  who is running an electric pump and did you use a restrictor to control fuel flow? and if so,  what type make or model?  using 2 bbl carb nothing extreme.

Does it list the operating pressure? 5-7 psi is fine for a carb'ed engine, anything over that and you will need a pressure regulator. I use one on my car for the nitrous pump but don't need one for the engine pump.

I can't bring that up large but is that a vane type pump ?   Fred    :)

hey guys,   no idea what a vane type is fred.  the pump i have is placed about 1 foot from the gas tank and the pump draws but pushes fuel instead of sucking. the psi is low 5-7 on this little pump so i will guess that it should be ok. 

71pintoracer,  how will I know for sure if the pump is overcharging the fuel line and carb? needing to place in a regulator?

5-7 psi should be fine. That looks like the pump I used on my tractor and it works good. If you have to much fuel pressure it will push fuel past the needle & seat and flood the engine. You should be fine with that pump.
