What would be a good goal for tuning a 2.3L to?
I'm looking at a cam, new carb, header, deleting the EGR, AIR pump, and Catalytic converter.
I've been pricing stuff out and I'm only going to put about $500-700 into the old 2.3L to give me a little more get up and go until I can build my BA 302 and put that in the Pinto.
Anybody got any recommendations on a good cam? I've looked at some Ford Racing Parts cams, but I remember seeing a radical dirt track cam in a parts catalog, but I can't remember who made it.

This should keep you up at night for a few days.
I know that Crane Cams has what you want. You can get hydralic or solid lift cams from them at very reasonable prices. Good luck with your 2.3!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, that's definite... Thanks for the link, seeing some of those parts made me think about spending more than what I was thinking about and building the 2.3L from the bottom up...
Very nice parts though, good stuff and I will be spending some time looking through the parts there. And I'll have to check out Crane Cams and see what they've got... Thanks for the luck and the help.
Try a cam pully with your cam. Its a great tuning tool.
