Title: Looking for Pinto dimensions for scale model project
Post by: Don Murphy on July 31, 2012, 02:27:30 PM
I'm trying to make a mold to produce 1:32 resin casts of a Ford Pinto for slot car racing and scale models. No one has, to my knowledge, ever built one. :(   I've found a 1:28 plastic model that is close enough that I believe I can chop and channel it slightly to make the pattern, but I want it to be as close to possible as the correct scale.

Does anyone have access to or know of a chart that shows all the body dimensions such as door width, fender width, roof and hood lengths and widths, etc?

Thanks!

I have an old snap-tite funny car model that appears to be 1/32.  Have you checked ebay?  I'm sure you have.  I have the poison pinto model, too.
