Whats the widest 15" tire that will fit a 80 Pinto rear, also need size rim with what backspacing
275/60/15 on a 8.5 wheel.
Can check back spacing for you.
Car does have a 9 in. Versailles rearend.
same here with 5.5 backspacing on a 8.8 lincoln mk7 rear with mustang axles and drum brakes..
Now,the entire tire is under the car when viewed from
above but approx. 50 percent of the tire isnt covered at the
front (rocker panel) edge of the wheelhouse.
My car has a 8" Mustang II rear in it, does a 8.8 rear fit? Just curoius on that, wouldn't mind going to a 8.8 rear, is it hard to make that rear work
i cut the control arm mounts off the rear, matched the pinion angle of the stock rear and welded on a 22 dollar set of spring perches and bolted it up.....i did have a drive shaft made for mine but iirc a mustang shaft fits if you have a t5 swap done or a c4...also the rear from a thunderbird or lincoln is 1.5 inches wider than a fox mustang, i used mustang axles as said earlier to keep the wheels inside the fender..
My wagon has 295/50/15s on a 15x7 10 hole
Mustang wheel.I did use a .250 spacer to get the
tire off the leaf spring.
I.m runnin 265-50-15 on15x8.no interference problems but I am also using .250 spacers to center more in the wheel well.
