On Tuesday I removed all the sheet metal from the Front of the Rallye. This is so I can install the Stiletto kit.It took about 2 hours to remove everything.Last night with help from a good friend,we installed the Stiletto front end.I have it bolted down for now and I need to do some minor adjusting to get to fit right.I am trying to get some pictures downloaded. My pc is fighting me on that issue.
You can find pictures on my face book.

Same here.....
I'm assuming that was Tony's Stilletto kit.
This not Tony's kit.The person I bought it from got it from the manufacture back in 85.He bought it new and never did anything with it.

My bad. I thought it might be the one he was selling because he lived in Rittman & it was fairly close to you.
My mistake,I thought you were talking Pintony.Yes is was Tony's ,he is a real nice guy.

I'll second that. I got my Rallye spoilers from him in May. I assume his name is Tony from his Ebay screen name. That was a nice kit. Can't wait to see it installed.....
I'm curios to see how it's going to look too. How hard is it going to be to get the head light system to work??
I have the front end installed on the Rallye.I just have to make some minor adjustments.Progress is slow but it is coming together.
I have most everything lined up.Spent most of the day filling in minor imperfections and sanding the front end.I am still trying to decide on what I want to do to the head light doors.I have the doors but not the hardware to install them with.
Pintoman, maybe you could get actuators off of an old RX7. They where flip up if I remember right?? Just a thought.
Looking good!!!
Or the entire mechanism off a firebird headlights and all would prolly work great.
Probably easier to find. Didn't think about the FireBird.
Harley, let me first say, that is looking great!
Second, bummer about the light hardware. But, if the other suggestions don't work, maybe getting a lucite lens and forget the retracting light for an all original take on the Stiletto. Just a thought, if done right it would be cool, maybe the lights off a 240z for a backing and a custom lucite cover on the lens.
Thanks for the idea's.I have been thinking the same thing.
Hey Hardly----Ain't stilettos sumpin hot chicks wear on their foots??
Lookin' good man, keep it up! See ya' later. (club) Dick
Harley, Not to give you more work, but looking at the pictures. I am thinking, maybe removing the rear bumper and glassing it to a nice rounded sports car look to match the front might be cool. Did I mention I am so jealous of your car right now?
Well Dick, meet Stella she is real hot.She will be the best looking chick in this area.
I removed the headlight lights that came with the Front end. They sat back to far and the light would reflect inside the front end.I put in small rectangular headlights in the grill area. Will take pictures tomorrow and try and get them posted.I will install the headlight doors and mold them in.
Cannot wait to see that car! You will be coming to carlisle next year, right? Otherwise how are you gonna pickup that first place trophy? The Rallye Stilleto!
Any ideas on paint? Or are you keeping it the same color scheme?
Hey Norm, yes I will be at Carlisle next year.I am keeping the paint a secret for now.
Cool, I look forward to the surprise.
I DONT UNDERSTAND swapping out the front of a pinto its the best bit, now if it were a kit to make the rear end more attractive i could see the point, ;) :) :)
I for one cannot wait to see it done. It is as unique as a Pinto can be. The Stilleto kit is rare and so far I for one like the look.
Spent the last two days installing a new aluminum radiator in the Stiletto. The stock radiator was old and could not handle the heat. The Stiletto front end was restricting the air flow.So I went for a new radiator. Also I glued the head light doors into place along with installing a 2 inch cowl induction hood. Here is a couple of pic's from today.
Stella is lookin' goood !!!! I might just have to pay her a visit to see her upclose
and personal. Got any hints on color yet ? Oh well she's going to be outstanding
no matter what hue she is. later----Dick ;) ;) ;)
Harley, I like the lights in the opening in the front. Looks really good. So you are gonna fill in and sand the light cowle into the body, nice. The scoop, I will have to see done. Louise loves it. I will wait to see it painted.
On another note, Rick Markko was fired from Carlisle Events. He won't be there next year. It will be interesting to see how next years show is.
Hey Dick, come on out anytime.Just give a heads-up so I know your coming.
It is starting to look really impressive. Can't wait to see the finished product.
The car has been painted.I will post pic's sometime next week.I still have a few things to do,like putting the interior back together, repainting the wheels and some clean up under the hood.
here are the latest pic's of the Stiletto.
Dick, all I can say is WOW.. I like the white for sure.. That was a complete make over???
Does it run as fast as it looks??
Holy Pinto Batman! like johnbigman2011 said... WOW!!!
Sorry, but I have to say it again WOW!!!!!
Harley,
This is SO sweet... Look what I get being away for a while, I missed this!
She looks fantastic.. How does it drive? Do you notice any difference driving? I bet you get all kinds of stares...
This IS Sweet!
Wow, what a difference......
Looking good. The white was a good choice. I cannot wait to see it in person, are you coming to Carlisle next year?
:o
I would like to see it myself. When is Carlisle??
great job! but, be careful pulling into parking spaces!
Thanks guys. She' not finished yet.I have a lot of little stuff to do to her.I might take her to the drags on the 30th.Can't wait for Carlisle.
Hey Hardly---All she needs now are red & blue side stripes---Just kiddin'.
All I can say is YA' DONE GOOD!!
Talk at you later Dick :) :)

First weekend in June
Harley... if you put a tall spoiler on the back, you would have a miniature superbird.

;) ;D :o
Imagine that, would yah!!
SWEEEEET!! Now when are you going to start on the right side drive part?
I see you replaced the rear bumper. Looks really good on the back with the stilleto kit.
I got the stickers that I had made.I felt that the old ones were not useable. So here are some pic's of the stickers on the car.Yea Matt it was a bumper that I had laying around.
Harley ....Very Cool...transformation. , will you have the Stiletto at the Ohio Nov. Swap meet this year? I would love to meet up with you again and check it out. Kirk ;)
That turned out really nice and the stickers are a great touch.
Congrats on a conversion well done :)
Looks great, but I'd like to see a kit on a wagon.
I decided to upgrade the Stiletto.I removed the old carpet ,then I installed some DYNAMAT, then i will install new carpet and headliner. I am also in the process of installing a Vintage Air indash heater and air conditioning.I am also changing the intake system, plus I had to build a air box for the radiator.pic's some time in the future.
Harley,
Good to see that your back at it again with your amazing car. I'm very interested in the vintage air set up for sure. Description and install tips will be much appreciated. I'm needing a couple A/C set ups for my cars for sure.
Do you still have the parts we discussed way back.
Yea John, they are still in the shed.I will take pic's of the air once I figure how to mount the evaporator.
Harley,
I'm going to be heading to Idaho to pick up my ultimate Pinto in or around March or April. Maybe I can put a peg in the map and swing by your place and pick up the parts we discussed.
Looking forward to the pics.
I now have to repaint the Stiletto.I was installing the new condencer for the air,I had a battery drill in my hand. When I got up to get some screws the drill came apart and hit the front fender. The drill comes apart for other attachments.I put every thing away and quit for the day.I was to mad to do any more work[damage].I'll work on it next weekend.
Hate to hear that for sure. Sometimes it's best just to walk away.
