I still have to log in every time, so I don't allways post. I hope this can be corrected, as this is the only site I go on that I have this happen.
I got the 5 lug rear in the car, and it seems to be ok. A bit wider than I has wanted, but I had it in inventory, and the mod. was easy. The car looks like a go-kart. It has 2.79 gears, but the car is just a driver anyway. I have 15" wheels and tall tires from a bII on it, I think It will be better with the shorter tires on the 14"s. With the 11" rotors/10" drums, this thing stops soooo nice. A bit more pedal pressure than the pb car, but still very good, as now it WILL stop.
I want to put something together for the pinto folks near here, like a meet at a BK or other place, just to meet, say HI, and have everyone else there think we are.....

we all have to log in when we arrive, there is a problem with the simple machines software and the fact that this website uses frames inside frame as a structure. Fixing it would require a total redo of the website!
Hey Bill,
Al Rose here, (aka Pintobomb), have not logged in for a long time now.
I live in Waterford, next to Millstone Point. Have two buddies with four or five Pintos. I've got two.
Am in the middle of an extream modification on a 72 Runabout. Have a 2 liter dyno rated at 161 hp @ 7000rpn to install when ready.
Get in touch.

Kool!!!! drop me a PM. I had a car that I ran at the Speedbowl on wed. nights. Got wrecked a few weeks ago.
Bill
How far are you from Lebanon Valley NY? Last Saturday was Ford day but you could come up on any other Sat or Sun, I hope to have my wagon there by the end of July, not a street car. Maybe you guys could play on the track some. Just a thought.

Bill, give a jingle, (860) 442 1602, an leave a message. Am hardly ever home but I'd like to show you what I'm into. It's a shame but I suspect you know that this is most likely the last season for the Speed Bowl.
Brian, sounds like a plan but it will be a while before my Runabout will be spinning wheels.
Have a 54" piece of 1/4" wall - 4" square tube in the rear of the vehicle to disspell any notion of exploding Pinto's. If you could see what I replaced, you would understand why the 71/72's blew up the way they did.
A fuel cell has also been fabricated in. The dash is next as all but the light & wiper switch's is coming out. In it's place about every Sport Comp meter for about every function, that Auto Meter makes. This WILL NOT be a stock Pinto when finished!
Rock On Pinto's!
