Weird thing today the wife drove the Bobcat to work in the AM. She had the headlights on about a block from home they started to flicker. (Actually all the lights went out dash and all.) While driving she slightly touched the clutch pedal with her foot not engaging it. Then the lights stayed on all of them.. Not sure if this is a grounding issue or something to do with a starter i changed on it last week.. I to drove the car around the block this evening and i had the same issue with all the lights flickering on/off. When i gently touched the clutch pedal they came on strong.. ???? Also the blower motor was affected to when driving it, it stopped too when running, then touched pedal and WAA LA they came on.... Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks David
It sounds like a Ground issue ,check and clean all the Firewall grounds. The only thing I can think is by depressing the clutch you always get a slight firewall flexing. Other than that my first thought with the Headlights flashing on and off would of been the in dash Headlamp Switch......relay built in switch tripping-on and off........Kirk
In addition to the above, suggest checking under the dash to see if clutch pedal lever and/or cable is rubbing the wiring harness or a connector. Those intermittent problems are hard to find.
Found the problem with the short in the Bobcat today.... I ran a ground wire from the negative battery terminal to the chassie and have another one the battery to the motor block.. Cool we be drivning at nite now.. Thanks Guys...
