Long time reader, first time poster. The member knowledge on this forum is incredible.
My Dad had '73 (might have been a '74) Runabout. I never forget the time that car broke down on I-95 in the summer of '75. I was 9 years old and I clearly remember sitting in the back of the car sweating to death waiting for the tow truck.
Okay, I am looking for an orange '77 Runabout with plaid interior, white top with the sunroof ~aka~ the Charlie's Angels/Sabrina Duncan model. I'm not into self restorations and would like to buy one in decent shape, or have someone else restore it. If I could find one already restored that's even better. I am willing to pay good money for it.
Any ideas/leads on where I can find one? Are these hard to find? Any ideas on how much it would be? Am I being naive about finding one in decent shape? I will pay you a generous finders fee.
Thanks very much for all your help!
Welcome! No, it's not unreasonable to think you can find one in great shape out there somewhere but, when you are that specific on what you want, you need to be really patient. I assure you it's out there... just waiting to be found!
Dwayne :)
It's going to be hard to find that exact car, finding one with a sun roof is hard enough let alone a orange/white sport accent, if your not dead set on a 77, then have a look at mine, it's for sale: http://www.fordpinto.com/your-pintos/one-sweet-73/

Thanks for all the info and recommendations guys! :)
The '77 that Cookieboy posted looks tempting. I'll call that one and get more info.
In the meantime, if you see something please don't hesitate to post it here.
Thanks a million!
