Does anyone know if the 78/ 2 barrel carb for the 2.3,,,will fit and work with the 2.3 77 model year ?
What state are you in ? It should not unless it's a Calif car. The smog cars had different carbs...
i live in canada and the car was built in st thomas ontario
You should be fine than, check to see what model carb's you have . You should have the 5200 and it might just be jet differences to worry about...If they are 6500 you might have problems...Take the carb into a good parts store and they should be able to help you.....Note while I said model 5200 that is the Weber Model Number you need to run the Ford part number that is on the tag of the carb.....
I believe both of those years used electric chokes. There may be a difference in vacuum lines - like the electric choke carbs have a vacuum line running to the choke as well when the water ones don't. If the stock carb used a water choke, you can reuse it on the other carb or reroute the lines and use the electric choke.
