Hey, I have a 1971 Pinto with a 2300 stock engine in need of headers. Summit Racing says they have headers for a 2300 cc 1974 model. My question is this - are there any differences in the engines from 1971 and 1974 and would the header from the 1974 work on my 1971?
I'm pretty much mechanically UN-inclined so any help you can give would be appreciated.

In 1971 Ford offered only two engines 1600cc and 2000cc.
Only 2 choices in 71 like 72Wagon said. Easy to tell the 2 apart. The 1600 has the carb on the passenger side of the engine and the 2000 is on the drivers side.
No one in the states make a direct fit header for the 2000cc engine, you might find a used one, or you can get one that works
with a new passenger side motor mount.
Ok, so I figured out that it's a 2000 cc in my 1971 Pinto. Thanks for the clarification from you all. So, as far as a new set of headers, I'm out of luck? No other Pinto header will fit it?

And, since I'm here and trying to figure this whole thing out, does anyone on this forum manufacture the custom motor mounts?
