Title: YELBY'S 1976 Pinto Wagon

Flew to California 9-1-11.  Arrived in Wisconsin 9-8-11.
Bought it for $1700.
                     300 Tires
                     750 Dealership repairs
                     850 Dealership repairs
                     130 Car rental
                     450 Lodging 6 nights
                     370 Gas
                     200 Food and misc supplies
                     270 Plane ticket (one way)
                     000 2200 miles of scenery
                    $5020 TOTAL :hypno:

Oh, so you have a swap spot.  Will the wagon be in the space?  The wagon is not for sale is it?
Will you just have Pinto parts for sale?

Nah, I think it's worth it, all the other charges for lodging and gas were worth his trip, I'm sure. In my case, I'll >easily< have over $5k in my '76 wagon once it's done. Of course, it's a ground up restoration, and not cheap!

Yeah, those costs to bring something home have stopped me cold on some killer deals.

BRING IT TO THE DOWNTOWN WEST ALLIS SHOW ON OCTOBER 2nd!!!  I hate being the only Pinto at most shows even though there might be two  :)

My Pinto will be in my swap space for an attention getter, NoT for sale.No Pinto parrt, I sell Lawson Products, hardware,bins etc.

The 76 will have some primered spots by then.  It is not fair to the spectators to show a car in that condition. ::)

Way to go Yelby. My dad used to say $500 in tires and wheels on a $500 car is what keeps the economy going.

show it the way it is, primer spots an all.It called a "survivor" lots more showing up at shows latley.I deove my one summer like that and peploe still liked it! Then next year when its painted  you will go from suvivior class to restored class.
