OK, Ive been on a buying spree lately & managed to round up T5's for both Pinto's.
For Callisto I found an '89 Stang 4 cyl. trans. & got a bellcrank bellhousing off Ebay complete with block plate, fork, bellcrank & rod.
I got an '87 TurboCoupe flywheel part#50-703 through Advance Auto Parts online for under $40 using a $30 off a $75 purchase discount code & my store had it in stock. A few oil filters I needed got my total over the $75 mark. VISA is the code.
I got the TurboCoupe clutch kit part #MU47827-1 for $90.51 using discount code DEALIO & it ships to my house free. These parts are made by Perfection who makes Zoom & these even carry the same part number at Summit.
Will the stock Pinto starter bolt in? The bell hasn't arrived yet to see for myself & I have a brand new stock starter.
For the V8 car & got a complete '89 Mustang GT trans. & bellhousing as well as the stock flywheel. It has the pull type fork already so I'm all set. I'm checking with Fred for a pedal assy. to bolt in so that just leaves the cable. Some threads are corrupted & won't link so I need an answer I can't seem to find.
Can I use the Mustang cable so I dont have to use a washer to adapt the Pinto cable to the Mustang fork hole?
If so, is it a direct replacement or does it require some engineering to use?
If I already had a Pinto cable I'd use the washer trick but I need a cable anyhow.....
I doubt a mutang cable will work too well since they are completly different. When i bought my pedals off fred he sent the cable with them.
Every thread that mentioned a Mustang cable never followed up to say it worked or not. I'd be happy to get the cable with it myself.
I can't seem to find pix of how the Pinto cable goes in the bellcrank either. I really need that part in my hand.
Pinto cable fits in the bell crank just like the stock mustang cable does. The 5.0 shift is the only one that doesn't fit till you weld the washer to it to make the hole smaller.
As for the mustang and pinto cables it might work with some mods but i highly doubt it would just slide in since the pinto cable hooks straight to the clutch pedal and the mustangs use a clutch quadrant.

Has new clutch cables for pintos too the one for 25.79 is just like the one in my car. Just in case you don't get a cable with your pedals and it'll be alot easier then modding a mustang one.
