What body style, wagon or hatchback?
Are you selling the front end and the front fenders?
It is a hatchback.
I may be keeping the driver side fender to replace on my 73 station wagon when I repaint it, unless you need it of coarse, it will be a couple years before I can repaint my station wagon.
It would be a bit hard to ship fenders though. I am in Idaho, very near to boise. In fact my storage unit is in Boise. Any chance on a road trip?
What kind of shape are the hood hinge boots in?? If they are in very good condition I'll take them!
I will find out tomorrow.
t appears they car was covered or under a shaded tree most of it's life. The strips on the car are still on there, while not bright, they are complete. The paint is in pretty good shape, could use a buff but it's still dark and not cracked or rusty underneath the top half of the car (Haven't looked at the bottom).
Will take before and after shots :)
something to grab if they are in good shape are those 2 filler strips that are between the grill and bumper...not sure what the technical name for those are. Took me a long time but I found a useable pair.
are you talking about the stone deflectors? Made of a rubber type material?
I have a set from a 78 bobcat station wagon that I parted out a couple years ago, complete with the metal "frame" strips that they staple to. They are a brown "glow" color that Matt's 78 used to be before he painted it blue. I was keeping them around for when I paint my 78 sedan again, but if someone needs them, I've got 'em. (These are for the big aluminum bumper Pintos/Bobcats from 77 to 78)
Hood hinge boots are torn and rotted, no go on that. Sport mirror only on driver side, left it.
Chrome trim around the windows were gone, someone got it first. :(
No hatch handle, turn signal lenses are cracked, marker lights broken, dash cap destroyed, wiper linkage broken on passenger side, seat belts don't retract, door felts and seals were rotten and broken.
Here is what I did get:
Three of the four wheel well moldings (front driver side was badly damaged).
Grill
Tail light lenses
Top and sides of windshield trim
One steel styled wheel with trim ring (will use for my spare tire)
Top of air cleaner (for my 78 sedan)
Armrests
Kick panels
Rear view mirror (for my 78 sedan)
Door panels
Steering column plastic
Steering wheel button (didn't have my bolt puller with me to get the wheel)
Turn signal lever
Hatch hinges (pins missing, but chrome in great shape!)
Center AC vent and side dash vents
Gauge cluster assembly (in good shape)
Door handles and window handles (inside)
Plastic cover for ebrake handel body
E-brake cover
Door sills (that hold the carpet down)
Rear marker inside panel access covers
Wiper and light knobs
I plan to go back to get the following before the car is gone:
Shifter handle and woodgrain shifter bezel (didn't have my hex key wrench set)
Outside door handles
Bottom of windshield trim
Rear side glass (passenger and driver side)
Sway bar
Steering Wheel
Turn signal switch
Power steering brackets and hoses
Fuel sender
Filler neck
Brake lines
Transmission lines
Radio bezel
Center cubby
Dash woodgrain panel
Wiper and light switch rings
What color is the interior?
The door panels and armrests are a chamois color. The dash is nearly the same color as brownie's dash. The carpet was at one time the color of the new carpet I put in Brownie, not a dark saddle brown but bight mid tone brown.
Bummer. I was hoping for a saddle color for Wildfire. Her vintage '74 armrests are toast. And just about as crumbly too...
