i know i've seen this thread some time ago. but can anyone tell me the pro's & con's of these shocks supporting the hood (keeping it open). i've been to some shows this year and it has been breezey or windy. and opening the hood is not an option, in fear of it catching the hood and pulling the prop rod out and causing some damage, which i don't want to happen. but on the other hand i want to show off the engine at the same time. do these work or is there another fix?
