Title: Looking For Hood Rubber Stops
Post by: 80_2.3_ESS on July 13, 2011, 05:16:05 PM
I noticed the other day when I was cleaning my car, that the rubber pieces that mount on the fender that the hood rests on were really firm and dry.

SO can anybody tell me if some company makes these? My dad was able to get new ones for his 64 Falcon, so I would think somebody would make them for an 80 Pinto.

Thanks

If you are talking about the wedge shape bumpers that go along the top of the inner fender lip. Steel rubber sells them. #20-0213-42  at $8.90 a set of 4 plus shipping.  They also have the radiator/hood supports (the adjustable jam nut with rubber bushing on top) you have 2. #70-2715-42 $6.20 each plush shipping. They also have the cowl seal.  You might also check J.C. Whitney.   Good luck.......... ..........John  :)

Thanks for all the help guys. I just ordered the fender mounted ones, as well as the radiator support mounted ones from Steele. I ordered a set of their Door weather strips, and they fit perfectly, so I dont mind dealing with them, and supporting them.

Thanks guys!
