Less that a month after I got back from The Stampede I am on the road again! This time to the Adirondack Mts of upstate NY. Along the way I stopped by the Ford dealer that I bought my car from new 32 years ago,Dons Ford in Utica NY. Don Carbone , owner , presented me with a check in the amout of $ 1,000 for Wounded Warrior Project!!! THANK YOU Don!!

Hat's Off to Don Carbone! for supporting the Wounded Warrior Project. I'll bet that was fun taking your car back to the dealer that sold it to you. I bet he enjoyed it as much as you too. Have fun on your trip, safe travels and hope to see you again in September.

Nice to see that Ford dealer not only supporting the Pinto he sold so many years ago, but opening his heart and his wallet to help a worthy cause when times are tough.  Great job Dave! great job Don!  Let's here it for dave, the one man Stampede.

Way to go Sheriff Dave!!!

I guess my local Ford dealership didn't care enough to return my
calls about some support for our Wounded Warriors. Evidently
nothing has hit close home for them.

                     from escapee--Postalpony

Thank you Dave, well done.       Dick

Don't feel bad Postal, my dealer put me off as well and the three Ford delaers in Denver didn't want anything to do with the Stampede, I hope they watched Fox News on Saturday night the 28th of June!
Dave's dealer had the right stuff, the stuff that brought us to Ford in the first place.

a condensed story about my visit was in the print version of the Utica Observer Dispatch. I really liked the headline  "CARBONE SUPPORTS FORD PINTOS AND MILITARY"
