Title: Intermediate Exhaust Pipe
Post by: 77pintocw on June 26, 2011, 12:39:03 PM
Hi Folks:

If you own a '77 wagon (and probably true for other years) you know that
the intermediate exhaust pipe (pipe from the cat to the muffler) does not
exist as NOS or after market from any source.  I have tried and cannot find
it.  However, I was able to get one made in stainless steel plus was able to
get the tail pipe also made in stainless steel (no more rust!).  The person
is Jon at:

Waldron's Exhaust
PO Box 99
208 West Main Street
Centreville, MI 49032

www.waldronexhaust.com (http://www.waldronexhaust.com/)

He has the right machines to make the pipes and the patterns for Pintos.  Attached is a picture of
the stainless steel IE pipe and tail pipe.  Both pipe are exactly like the originals but in stainless steel.  He can also make pipes in regular and aluminized steel.  Notice that all the bends are smooth with
not kinks.

If you are interested in getting pipes give Jon a call (really nice person) and he can help.

Thanks,

That's great! How much did that cost to get made?

Hey r4pinto:

The two stainless steel pipes (tail and intermediate) plus shipping came
to a total of $140.  I thought that was a pretty good deal considering
the high quality workmanship.
