Where was the Yugo? lol
The Citation, Vega, Cimmeron, Corvair, VW Type 3, Type 4, Fiero, Pacer, Triumph TR-7, Triumph Stag, 1988 Pontiac LeMans, 1980's Hyundai, Kia's, Pontiac Aztec, various Lotus cars that would run for about 10 minutes at a time(I've owned some on these), most, if not all, French cars ( Renault R-5 "LeCar" comes to mind), Renault Alliance, Geo Metro, Fiats (remember the 128), Lada's, early Subaru's, and I could probably come up with even more s&$%t boxes I've had the "pleasure" to have known in my career as a high paid, professional auto technician.
Oh-oh... my Mom had TWO of those cars... the Renault LeCar and the American-made Renault Alliance. Well, that's what she gets for not buying a Pinto like I told her to when I was a kid. lol

I really won't argue any of those cars with you except to say that I owned a Cadillac Cimarron and it was actually a pretty decent little car. Mine was a 1987, which was close to the end of the run. My understanding is that the early ones were pretty bad. By the time mine was built, they had the car right but the perception was already ruined!

Let's not forget the Dodge Colt. I had one given to me once, couldn't get it to stop overheating, new water pump, new t-stats, nedw radiator, it flushed fine, but would run for 15 minutes and have to be parked for three hours. I finally gave up.
What era Colt- the cute early ones or the butt-ugly later ones?

the American-made Renault Alliance....
I had one of these, cute little car, underpowered and had issues with the control module - expensive and hard to find - a used junkyard part cost me $175 as I recall and that was 20 years ago! finally had to give up on it when the "gremlins" got to it... the lights would just turn off when driving at night and then come back on with no warning and we couldn't figure it out because it was intermittent. I did put a lot of miles on it and owned it for quite some time, all and all not a bad experience.
Mom, bless her heart, loved those cars, but she did have to buy a rebuilt engine for the Alliance, then a couple years later it stopped running (I don't know why) and she was without a car til a friend gave her a Mitsubishi Galant. That was Mom's last car before she passed away. :'(

It was an early model, don't remember the year but it was probably the Dodge answer to the Pinto. I had it in the early to mid eighties and it was well used ny then.
