Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be some type of grommet that goes into the hole where the clutch cable goes through the firewall? Too many cables pulled through need to figure it out.
My 72 does not have a grommet but does have a rubber boot on the engine side of the cable housing at the fire wall. I assume the boot seals the hole to keep water out. There is no rubber visible from the interior side of the fire wall.
