She's right... it's been a blast so far! I had to come home tonight, but I'm heading back to Carlisle bright and early on Sunday!!!
Dwayne
Becky it was nice to finally meet you & see that car. She looks in better shape than the pics give her credit for.
Same goes Matty. Will you be there tomorrow?
Yep, Dad & I just got up & are gonna load up the car & head over to the show.
Had a great time. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to bring the show together.
I had a blast as well, nice to meet a bunch of regular Joe's with a passion for these little cars.
Got home today with no issues, the 5 hour ride back to CT was a little rough, but had no problems and got back safe and sound.
Thanks allot for the warm welcome, being a new member, I wasn't sure how you would take me, but you welcomed me in with open arms.
Just wanted to give a big thanks to all the guys who made this possible, you know who you are. THANKS!
That was so much fun! Even with mechanical issues Dad & I got to meet some new friends as well as old ones from previous shows. I got so many compliments that I still have a smile on my face. To the guy that gave me the ball joint for my car, thank you again! I'm sorry I can't remember your name but that made my day! Fortunately the old one just held together, but that is always better than losing a wheel on the road.

Unfortunately Matt, I can't remember his name either, but I was there when he made the offer so I know who you're talking about. I saw him and his fiance perform several random acts of kindness over the weekend and I can think of nothing that better represents the caliber of people we have on this site. There were numerous behind-the-scenes incidences of people lending a helping hand this weekend. That's what makes the PCCA great!

You're right about that Dwayne, I never thought that acts of kindness really existed anymore & am glad to see that it still does. I'm glad to be part of this fantastic site & hope there are more shows like that in the future, wherever they may be.
Me too!
Guys, that was Scott and his love Teda (I think that's the correct spelling). They are such a sweet pair. I have the pleasure of hanging out with them at Gettysburg tomorrow. We're getting our Civil War on. lol

LOL I remembered her name with no problem, but for the life of me couldn't remember his! I'm glad they'll be with you tomorrow. I know it will be more fun experiencing it with someone!
Dwayne
Awesomme. You guys have lotsa fun at that. I will be replacing the bad ball joint & degreasing the car lol. Fortunately I don't have to drill out the rivets, as I have a nice pair of lowers I will install to replace the ugly ones lol
Well, Matty, I'm just glad you made it home safe with your Dad and Harold II. She is pretty, and her being there is a credit to you. Keep up the good work. I will plan on being there for the 45th. ;D

Perhaps a Pinto Stampede II?
Well, Norm's thinking about it... ;)
Hmmm... I wonder if I could have my Pinto ready by then? :rolleye:
I wonder if my suspension will be fixed by then lol
& to think 5 years ago to the day I was trying to fix the car, after getting towed home from the breakdown.
I WILL be there for the next one! I will have my Stupid Saturn paid off and funds to make it, it will then just be a matter of getting the time off, which should be easy enough.
Glad everyone had a great time though, I can't hide the fact that I am jealous of it all, but I will hopefully get to meet every one of you eventually!
I stopped in and said "hi" on Saturday. Good to see some familiar faces.
I wish to thank every one of you for the great turn out. This was a two year work out for Phil,Norm and myself.I did not think that we would have as many Pinto's there as we had.I beleave that every one had a great time.So lets do it again. So until next time ,have a blast with your Pintos and spred the word that we need twice the Pintos for the next Stampede.
what a weekend nice to see old friends and make some new ones

Sandy (girl friend) and I had a great time at Carlisle. We drove down Wednesday and stayed over night at a local campground. Early Thursday morning we drove to the fair grounds and I was allowed to drive my motor home towing the beast on my open trailer to the front of Building T to unload the car. Ed had me park the beast in a corner spot near the one of the 4 entrance doors. I then was told to park the motor home just outside Building T and plug into the outside 50 amp service. Rick sent a maintenance truck down to pick up my trailer and take it to the storage compound outside of Gate 5.
Our set up for the car was short and because of the good weather we did not have a great deal of cleaning or polishing to get the car in viewing condition. Over the 3 days building T was open to the public for about 31 hours. I spent 2 hours on Friday at the Pinto show field making friends and looking at almost 60 wonderful Pintos. Except for another few hours for lunch and dinner we spent the great majority of time with the car. So many people had comments and questions and were taking pictures of the car. Many could not believe how anyone could build a blown Pinto.
On Sunday I was one of the last ones to leave build T and load the car on the trailer about 4 PM. We spent the night at the Western Valley Campground in Carlisle and Monday we made the 7 hour drive back home to Williamsville, NY just outside Buffalo.
I was very impressed with the organizers of this great Pinto event. Phil, Norm and many others have my greatest gratitude for their efforts and hard work. I was also very impressed with the organization of the Carlisle staff and how they went out of their way to solve every problem and make everyone as comfortable as possible. I know I did not get to meet everyone but everyone has my appreciation for their efforts and for bringing their cars to this event. Hope all made it back home safely and look forward to a 50th if it happens.
Dick and Sandy near Buffalo, NY
I might have missed it, but how many Pintos/Bobcats were there? Joe in Morgan Hill, CA
Around 68 or so.
There were 8 Pintos on display in Building T. On Friday I was told there were 64 Pintos on the show field. So that total makes it 72. I believe there was a Bobcat or 2 also on the show field and they may be part of that 64 count.
There were 40 cars on display in Building T. That means that 20% of the cars displayed in building T were Pintos. I was proud to be one of them.
Me too ..pintoman. It was nice to meet you and everyone else there. What an Event!!
The count on Friday was 64, the count on Staurday was 55. So 64 is the record.
As for a Stampede II, we will have to wait on that one. Nothing can compare to the first, we had ventured into the unknown and conquered it. I would like to see more Pinto's come out and be known now. Maybe some more local meets could come out of a data base of road worthy Pintos. I would like to see this bring us closer together and make the PCCA bigger. Maybe we can get something going and strike while the iron is hot.
Looking back... I should have gone the distance with everyone.but was paranoid about the flooding here (I live about 450 ft from the river) the past week the river is creeping up to reach my yard.. But now Im really starting to worry.. If only I had a time machine lol .. The zip code here is82601 if anyone is bored and wants to check it out on the net
i counted 22 pintos/bobcats that arived in carlisle with the stampeed there were 3 bobcats in the show my 76, phils form ny 79/80 and a 79/80 from upper ny
there were at least 2 bobcats wagons for sale and 6 + pintos for sale. 3 squire wagons and 1 squire runabout. and at least 3 crusin wagons. i will post pics when i make it back home for now we are in getttsburgh.

While we certainly missed having you at Carlisle, and I'm sure the Stampede missed having you along, I think it's safe to say no one blamed you for the decision you made. If my home were in jeopardy I would have done the same thing! Sometimes life just isn't fair. :(
Dwayne
I dunno how many there were either way, but I had a blast! I just wish I got a chance to drive my car more. Every time I turned around my dad's response was "I'll drive" lol. The last time he had driven a Pinto it made it home on a wrecker. Well, along with the Carlisle Curse I was going through that has now changed. We made it home in one piece & I cannot wait to get her out again! That is once I get the front suspension rebuilt lol.
I do agree that there won't be another stampede like the first one. In my opinion to even try would be to be silly. Not because I don't think it would be fun, but because it has been done, got oobers of attention from everywhere, & won't get the same response twice.
My hope would be that those who missed the first Stampede (myself included), having seen firsthand how much fun the participants had, would now put forth the effort to be part of a second one. A new crop of people = all new experiences!
Dwayne
I sure would go on the next one. My transmission is coming out to be rebuilt this weekend. So UXB will be back on the road within a month.

I am so proud for me and Ruby to be part of this historic event! Whew! :D
I think I can safely say we are all proud of the effort put forth by you & Ruby to make it to Carlisle.
Well, thank you! I still say I was merely stubborn... ;D
Ummmmmmm :look: Hehehehehe....

Glad to see you made it home Beckey! It was really nice to meet you and Ruby!
Same here Flash... I never met such a neat, great group of people. I think I made friends for life.
Below is a link to pictures from the 2011 Clarisle Ford Nationals taken by Professional Photographer Big Al Liebmann. There are 5 pages of photos. A quick review I made showed pictures of Pintos on pages 2, 3, 4 and 5. Besides individual car pictures I also saw a picture of the Pinto tent and cars on the show field.
Be advised that these pictures are copyright protected. I asked permission to copy pictures of MY car and was told I could do so only for my personal use.

I know that my dog, Meesha, drove most of you crazy with her barking on Saturday but she was being crabby and was done ;D I want to apoligize for her actions but I hope everyone understands that this was her first big trip and was just acting like any tired (dang trucks at night with their horns)/grumpy kid would act.
No worries... she's a cutie! Love her Pinto shirt. lol ;D
