Title: Pinto Stampede in Indy
Post by: postalpony on June 01, 2011, 09:34:28 PM
Hello all Pinto people.
I had a wonderful time at the motel, meeting people that go with
names on our web site---Awesome being an old forgetful--what?
Oh I remember--- you folks are to the letter the most kind & hospitable group I have ever met in my 69 years.

NOW I will vent---Indy motor speedway & It's 'Big" shots DID NOT
impress this old man!!! I thought they could of cared less about
our stampede & The Wounded Warriors we are trying to support.

THIS IS MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION--NO ONE ELSE'S.  KNOW THIS!!

I think they should put the whole money grubbing organization

WHERE THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE !!!

Like stated above MY opinion only!!!

See you all tomorrow  Redneck Postalpony

Norm spent over 2 grand to rent thr track for 1 lap at 20mph.
That ain't right!

They don't care... They are too busy complaining how NASCAR fans have not been going to the track in recent years. The view sucks anyways. If I want to attend a race at a historical track it will be one I can see the track & not just a small area.

The track is a business, they make their money from ticket sales.
Allowing car clubs in at $2K is a courtesy.
I had a great time, it was a lot of fun.
Norman, thanks for arraigning this (and anyone else involved).

Jerry

Well INDY did not compare to Kansas, but we still had Pinto's on the brickyard. Feel free to let everyone know, here is an article stating just that from Autoweek magazine. http://www.autoweek.com/article/20110602/CARNEWS/110609982 (http://www.autoweek.com/article/20110602/CARNEWS/110609982)

Actually we all spent the money, thanks for pitching in guys and gals.  We learned we will not go to INDY if we do this again. Overall we had alot of fun, we were not sure how anything was going to turn out, there was allot of unforseen at our scheduled stops.  But we had fun and I wouldn't change a thing, even INDY, it gave us something to Bit%^& about.

In the future, if you have the Stampede again maybe consider taking I-80 and take a few laps around Pocono Speedway. They had a car wash there 2 weeks ago benifitting  a charity and for 10.00 they let you drive around the track.

I was just wondering, I know, I shouldn't stick my nose where it don't belong. But, Did Indy make any type of donation to the Wounded Warriors Project? If not, Does anyone have a contact address some one could send a letter too?
