Title: V-8, what to use for throttle?
Post by: randyg on June 01, 2011, 09:15:40 PM
Hey all,
I just lowered my carb because the filter stuck out the hood to far for the new scoop to fit. By removing the 1" spacer plate and the nitrous plate I now have a throttle bracket that will not work because it now sits to high. It was actually held by the back intake manifold bolts. The accelerator cable has a spring on the end and a square piece to bolt it up about a foot from the end. I assume it is the original Pinto part. Those of you with a V-8 in your Pinto-what are using for a throttle bracket?
Thanks
Randy

I spent 3 hours making mine. You will most likely have to do the same. Dont think you will find a stock Pinto piece that will work. V8 swap = fab work.
