Well. I went to the skunk works shop that my friend and primary engineer of Super Pinto has in his back yard and helped him get my other friends loitering 68 Mustang finished so the 87 Turbo Coupe can undergo the transmission swap with my Pinto. The TC will be getting a stock T-5 and my Pinto gets the beefy converted V-8 one with 3.35 1st and .68 O/D. The tall O/D might disagree with the Pinto's 3.55 rear gears but I'm gonna see how it goes.
Not very many good pics but hey, we had fun [img alt=[Smile]]http://forum.turboford.org/ubb/smile.gif

Hey, the valve cover looks good! How did you keep the blue paint off the raised aluminum finned surfaces? Now you only have 1,998 more pieces of the car to finish. ;D
You are lucky to have a friend with a lift and welding equipment. You had better keep his refridgerator stocked with cold ones.

Just coat the whole valve cover then sand off the excess paint/powdercoat that's on the fins. Easiest way to sand them is with a good sanding block start rough and end with fine paper. Atleast that's what i did on mine except mines grabber green!
Bigtimmay: That's what was done :) Next weekend the Turbo Coupe gets surgery and a tranny swap with the Pinto.
If I had that garage and that guy had a feather...we'd both be tickled...LMAO
Yeah. He's really good at fabbing things too. He added the lift when he moved in and it sees lots of use. Between the both of us there have been A lot of 4 banger Fords :) 3 Pinto's. 2 SVOs. 1 87 Turbo Coupe. And a Ranger... Me buying the Pinto project off him is financing his 32 Ford pick-up truck with a 2.3 turbo motor in it. I sold my old Pinto project to a good home so I feel all around good about this :)
