Title: Transmission Mount
Post by: Bwayrshires on April 12, 2005, 08:18:58 PM
I have a 74 wagon drag car with a 302 that I am re-installing the c-4 trans. I have solid engine mounts, what are you guy's using for trans mounts. I found a Lakewood mount in Jegs, but it is $45. Thank's,Brian.

Can you modify the stock mount and replace the rubber with poly or a chunk of aluminum???

I don't have the stock mount, it had a 4 speed that I took out. I have heard that you can't use a solid trans mount with solid engine mounts, need to have some flex in the driveline, so I'm told. I work at a Ford dealer and the stock mount looked a little flimsy by the picture and I don't think it's available. Just curious what you guy's are using.

Thank's, Brian.

any performance place will be able to hook you up with one, i don't have the part number. They only make one mount for all C4's
