Title: rear shock question

Got a 72 pinto runabout, it's presently has the stud on both end shocks. I would like to use the shock that have the eye end on the axle mount. I know later Pinto's and Mustang II used this style of shocks. Can I use them without any issues? Or does anyone have info on OAL and compression length of each style? Thk's

i personally don't know of any year pinto that used an eye end shock on the rear. they did on the front.

I know the 78 I had was the stud kind, & my 77 is the stud kind.

Wagons are the same, stud mount.

You can pull the shock mounts from a mustang II (upper and lower), from what I have heard, and use them on a Pinto. I would imagine the upper mounts would require some modification though. I know the lower ones will bolt on without trouble.
