Title: Steering coupling disc replacement
Post by: STLpintoWGNguy76 on May 13, 2011, 01:15:41 PM
I noticed a lot of play in my steering wheel and a occasional popping sound. After checking it out I found that the steering coupling disc was gone. I purchased a replacement disc. Has anyone replaced one before? I am having difficulties breaking the bolts/nuts loose on the steering arm where the disc is supposed to go. Thanks for any help provided.

replaced it on a 79 bobcat, remove the whole assembly that links the steering shaft to the rack and pinion gear box and work on the coupler in a vise. Good luck!

Some of the (bolts are pins or rivits ) and you must drill and remove them than use the hardware in the kit....
