Title: 2.0l C4 to turbo 2.3L questions?
Post by: Pintopowered on April 27, 2011, 10:22:16 AM
Hi. We have a 2L Pinto C4 that will be going behind a 2.3T out of a Merkur. I bought a flexplate for a 74 Pinto C4 and that will work. The trans has stock converter and a "Z" servo. We can't afford :'( an all out race tranny.
We still have a few questions.

(1)-What size do the stepped dowels need to be ?
(2) Can the dowel holes just be drilled out or is that a bad idea?
(3)-I read somewhere certain plumbing fittings can be used for dowels ...... is that true???
(4)-How strong is the Pinto C4 and what can be done (if necessary) to make it strong enough for about 300hp?
Thanks a million
