I Just Bought this little Rare car.
It is a 1974 Pangra Wagon. It is the real deal. I have all paperwork form the original owner showing that it was purchased from Hunnington Ford in 1975 (sat on the lot for 11 months) and a Pangra. Its the orginal color. NO body damage or accidents ever. Everything is there, including the little Digital Tach. Headlight mechanism is perfect and all suspension has never been touched other than at the dealer. The owner told me that there is at least 1 more 74 pangra around. There were only those 2 at the lot when it was bought. He also said that when asked why it was still on the lot after 11 months, the salesman at Hunnington Ford stated that It would not sell. It was priced even higher than the other Pangra ever were due to the fact that It has FACTORY AIR. It was also the last Pangra ever assembled at the dealer and was ordered black from Ford to match the first Pangra built buy them as well (the Pangra I am speaking of is owned my a friend of mine. It is the one Brad had in the Hemmings Mag., a beauty). The car is fairly complete, missing the recaros (which I happened to have) and the turbo (its a 2300 not a 2000). Other wise, the car does need paint but step one is to perfect the mechanicals and bring it back to its original glory. email me if you guys have any questions or any info.

RACER WALSH had a picture of one in his 1977 catalog. Its truly rare.
Really?
Do you have a picture of it, I'd love 2 see it. Thanks for the info.
Alberto
I think I still have it. E-Mail me your address at mjelliott@cox-internet.com and I'll send it to you if I find it Monday. DICK.
Hey, thats cool............... I would love to see more pictures of it including the interior..........
Hey Brad, sorry it took so long but here are the interior pix. Ignore the fact it has no door panels, I took them off to get the 30 years or mud and leaves out of the doors. The tack is not in the dash (its in a box of goodies the owner gave me) because he thought it was a broken clock. His exact words "It read 00."
Hey, looking good. BTW, you can get the vinyl material that covers the gauge panel and the console ( interior section) from an upholstery place. tell them you need 1972ish vintage porshe 914 seat material.
Can you recomend any fabric places? I normally go to general facric stores and I doubt they would know what 72 porsche fabric is
I don't know of any in you r area but you can start with any auto upholstery shops in the area and see if they can get it. It looks like a waffle pattern.
Four score and, well, a couple years ago, I bought this steaming pile of crap that was at one time an original 74 Pangra Wagon. On Jan 1, 2008 I finished the cosmetics of that pile of crap. It is indeed, no longer a pile of crap. After fixing the burnt, cracked and warped hood, i spent 4 months block sanding this car. It had never had any body damage but still, when painting a car black, the flatter the better. I painted the car its original black. The car was special ordered by huntington ford in 1974 as the Omega Pangra; it was to be their final productiuon Pangra and an end to a dream car started by Jack Stratton. It has factory A/C and a deluxe interior. It was shot with DuPont 2 stage black. It has 5 coats of clear and then I color sanded and buffed it out. I am not a fan of black cars, but i must say, that car looks great. We will just add it to the other black pangras....huh Brad? Mike? RacerX? Seriously guys, no more black pangras. Maybe yellow? Blue? Red? I know what you are all thinking, Bippers is red! I know I know, BUT he is going to repaint it its original color that Huntington Ford painted it. Can you guess the color? BLACK. Ah well, you cant argue with what look great. Any way. the interior was shot with semi gloss metallic charcoal. The carpet is new as is the head liner and seat belts. The under dash is totally rebuilt including gaskets. The gauges are not the original ones but they are a new verion of the old Stewart Warners. The dash radio and Eq were installed at the dealer. I rebuilt them and now i have an excellent 74 stereo cassette player with 30 watts. I am still in need of seats but ill get there when I get there. The front in is all rebushed, as is the rear. The car has a new brake system with an adjustable proportioning valve. It has all new weather stripping, all of which I bought from Doc at green sales. All that put together has made the car great fun to drive. I am currently manufacturing components for the custom built 2.3 carb. turbo setup. The original Ak Miller 2.3 turbo is long gone. Legend has it he built 2. So I doubt that I can find one. Unless Pintony has one....Well, all thats left is the correct wheels, which need to be polished and a couple odds and ends. It will be at Fabulous Ford this year so see it there.
Take care you guys,Alberto
P.S. I didnt bother spell checking this because I am sleepy.
