Title: 1974 grill modification
Post by: dcbchristian on April 24, 2011, 11:55:14 PM
I recently aquired a grill from a 74 pinto. Is there any modification needed for putting it on a 72 pinto? Is it a straight swap? What is necessary for it to work? And does anyone know of a spray paint that would be close to original to give it a fresh look? Thanks.

If it has the vertical bars on it, Only difference could be the tabs that locate it  in or out from the mounting points.  Should fit with out issue.

I have not tried this swap but here a couple threads discussing the differences.

The Grille color is Argent. SEM makes a great match.

If I remember correctly, the 74 sticks out a little farther than the earlier models
