i have noticed that the module under my brake booster is melting away, im guessing that it should be replaced, i have had no problems with it starting or running just worried about why it is melting away, a friend of mine said that the glue that they used back then sucked and it happens all the time!! any help would be great as well has where to find a good replacement not a cheap one!!! thanks eric
All the original ones do that - it is the potting that surrounds the electronics.
I had seen original ford parts on rockauto for like 80 bucks or so. Good to keep a spare int he trunk and use the original until it actually dies. Thats my plan anyway...
got a new one from the local parts house in town for $65.00, not bad and had it the next day, good quality plugs right in and works great!! keep the old one for a spare, dont want to break down one the way to a car cruise this summer!!! tooo hot to be stuck on the side of the highway!!!
