So I just got a 77 Cruising wagon but the old owner cut a hole in the hood for a air cleaner, I have a spare hood but the one with the hole is the factory color. It looks like a mustang 2 has a very closely shaped hood in the center, does any one know if a Mustang 2 scoop would fit a pinto easily with little or no mods? I will just paint it flat black and it should look good. Also does any one know of other scoops that may work? early 80s mustangs?
It doesn't show well in the pic, but early '80s Mustang. It took a little massaging to fit the peak in the Pinto hood.

I have a II scoop on my 78, the Pinto hood has a slightly steeper ridge to it but its still a good fit.

I have a scoop for sale if you want it. Bought it for that very reason, but ended up going bigger than could fit under it.
the hole is far to big for a mustang II one now that I have looked at it. I may perform some fiberglass magic. The challenge is that if I don't make it look like it could be factory I will not install it. my car is not going to look like a hack
