Was wondering if anyone knows of a place that might be able to do this. I am wanting to put my shop manuals for the cars onto the computer into a PDF document for ease of access and portability. This way when I go to work on the car at my parents, I have my laptop there with internet access for global help with issues, as well as shop manuals and personally taken photos for reference all in one place.
I have heard Office Max might do it, but Kinkos may not due to copyright infringement issues.
Dave,
Flatbed scanners are relatively cheap - I'd consider buying one. They come in really handy in lots of ways.

You can get the Ford manuals on CD's. At ebay motors search on "197*, Ford, CD". I have not tried these but they could be cheaper and less work.
It will be hard to find a place to do it for you due to copyright issues associated with the process. Most people will scan it themselves directly to PDF. I know that there are copy machines that will copy directly to PDF if you choose. I copied several items including my pinto wiring diagram and other manuals I bought on ebay so that I could mark up the copies in the garage while working on the car with out fear of damaging the original I bought.
Good Luck
