Post by: Scott Hamilton on March 27, 2011, 11:01:55 PM
Guys,

Click and Clack are doing some sort of 40Th Celebration of the Pinto this week on NPR. I LOVE these guys!- Even when they make jokes about our Ponies. We have all heard it before, it's expected, but it looks like the tide is changing? Hey Norm- Gotta Love it!

I don't know.  :rolleye:  Click and Clack sound like good guys I guess but the two stories posted on the site are not from known Pinto lovers.

It seems both of those guys are looking for more publicity. http://cartalk.com/blogs/jamie-kitman/?p=41 (http://cartalk.com/blogs/jamie-kitman/?p=41) & http://cartalk.com/blogs/jim-motavalli/?p=764 (http://cartalk.com/blogs/jim-motavalli/?p=764) one of which broke the whole story of Mother Jones to begin with.

I don't know if these two are goign to be involved with the radio broadcast, but if they are, I would run as far away as possible. Unless you can chanllenge them in a debate, then we need Pinto Gurus to take them down!!!

Remember, the problem is not with the cars design, those numbers were greatly exaggerated.  Fault lies with the person doing 80 miles per hour in a station Wagon who wasn't paying attention and hit a stopped sub-compact car.  That is the problem! It doesn't matter what make sub-compact you are in, you are dead.  It was also proven in that Ford case that both girls died on impact, not from fire related injuries. Sounds like one hell of a hit!

In two months we Stampede!!  Pintos will run wild!  See you all in Carlisle! I am ready for this trip are you?
