I keep posting about this, but thought it would be fun to see more than One (sometimes 2) pintos at this show. I always get the uncle, brother, cousin stories about someone they knew owning pintos and thought it would be fun to have several there. It starts and ends early so there would be plenty of time to take in the day or stuff bags after. Most get there around 6, but I would recommend no later than 5:45am if we want to park together and the show starts to end around 7:30 to 8am. Lots of fun and always something interesting in the lot. With FF the next day, the show should be ford heavy, but not typically with mustangs like FF. If it is too early for you, I understand, but I have fun each time I go.
Hope to see you there
Project Frankenpinto
Does the DD show have an entry fee? How would I get there coming from San Diego County besides take the 5 north? ;D
nope, unless you want to buy a donut.
5 north, 405 north, exit Magnolia and head south toward the beach. It is located on the North East corner of the intersection. The donut shop is Adams Donuts at the corner of Magnolia and Adams.
Thank you! I might just do it! ;D
Ok, approaching a week out. Who will be there. I will try to get there early enough to hold a few spots over by Zubees, but will need help to do so. Should be a good preshow for all fords. Not Mustang heavy.
Count me in!

Count me out. :'(
Vonky, I wanted to do the Donut Derelicts thing, then bag-stuffing tomorrow, but I can't afford to get a motel room and I can't afford to make two trips up there, but I hope you have fun. Hopefully I'll get to do it next year. I even had my overnight bag packed. :(
:( See you sunday...
NOt this time but one of these days I will make it out. it's been really tough getting home from work at 1 am then having to get back to work at 2pm the same day.
i love these knd of 'shows' because they usually are showcases for the stuff that 'regular' guys & gals are driving as oppossed to the trailer queens

Understand, I have been there and sometimes would choose to just stay at work and sleep in my car for the extra time instead of driving. Lots of oddball stuff shows up. I have seen it go from the $1.5 million dollar car (1917 Bentley Racer) to the $350 Special (my pinto) and everything in between. I am now being recognized as a regular by the regulars and still get lots of Brother, uncle cousin stories (My brother had a pinto in HS...etc)
That was a huge reason I wanted to be there! I love the "that was my first car!" and other stories from people who haven't seen a Pinto in years. And who could resist donuts? Plus, I wanted Vonkysmeed to not be the lone Pinto driver there. I'm already having to dip into the Carlisle fund for the show tomorrow and to hold me over til payday around the 15th. >:(
