Since the 1973 Ford Pinto Wagon was a failure of me trying to fix (the owner of it sold it anyway), I found myself a new Pinto that was listed on Craigslist for $2000 and it has 46,000 miles on it. Perfect condition all original parts, I know that you can add a cold air intake on it and probably make the timing on it faster than it already is. What do you suggest I can do to make it into a modified race car??
It depends on what engine is in it. Also it depends on if you just want extra performance on the stock engine. If you want to race it out drop a 2.3 turbo or a v8 in it.xtra performance on the stock engine. If you want to race it out drop a 2.3 turbo or a v8 in it.
I'm pretty sure this is a 2.3 engine because it said it on the passenger side door of the car, I don't think I could drop this engine I would rather add on to it.
My Bud took his rootbeer brown 73 runabout right off the dealership floor and high band and dropped a 4 barrel on it.
That car screamed, he would go into a cloverleaf at 35, and come out close to 100.
Not enough room for a header, He didnt want to chop up the fender wells.
Check out Esslinger. They have lots of mods for 2.3L
