Title: WERE ARE THE PINTOS?
Post by: dick1172762 on March 04, 2011, 02:56:27 PM
There is not one single Pinto listed at the 2010 Autocross last year at the Carlisle Nationals. Lets make sure Pintos are there in 2011. "Its so easy, even a cave man can do it."

Dick, are you going to be in Carlisle? I am planning to bring your old car for the 40th.

Not me! Were working 7 days a week on the V-22 here at Bell. Guess they will need them over in the far east. They used one to pluck that pilot that crashed this week. Hope you do good at Carlisle. Pictures!!!!, When you get back. Autocross it!!!

I would not mind running the autocross, but we are required to keep our cars in the display building until late Sunday afternoon. I'll have the car at the Jefferson 500, PVGP and Turkey Bowl this year, though.

Saw your videos on your web site. The car looked, sounded, and ran great. Looked like you need'd more top end speed though. You'd pass them in the turns and some would pass you back on the end of that longest straight. If you still have the 40DCOE's on it, you should try a pair of 45DCOE's. All the really fast Pinto's I ever seen had them or 48DCOE on them. If you see some really great tee shirts up there let me know. Something like the one you sent me. Vintage race ones would be great. LOL at the show.

Yup, still running the 40s. At my last race weekend, they had the small sedans in with the big bore cars. So, all the cars that you saw blowing by me on the straight either had V8s or big Porsche 6s. At the next 2 race weekends, they have us running on our own, so hopefully there will be less of that madness on the straights, lol!

Will keep an eye out for tee-shirts for ya.

Do you have a 3x ELB tee left over? My son would really like one if you do. Thanks, DICK

All gone. I will set one aside for him the next time I have a batch run off. Like everything else, prices have gone through the roof.

I understand about the prices! Food has got so high down here, I'm going to fit into my drivers suit from 1980 very soon. Gas is not far behind at $3.49 today.
