Finally am on my final checklist to start the pinto wagon. Only one big job remains which I have been having much trouble with. The fuel system! Converting from the carbureted 8 psi system to the new fuel injected one is using 4 times the pressure. And after being told by the Auto-zone people that I could use heater hose with hose clams (first engine swap I didn't know any better) The whole thing begins spraying fuel when is gets up to around 30psi. I went down to a performance shop and they said that heater hose is a terrible idea. What should I do? keep in mind I'm on a budget. Is it possible to use hose safely?

I'm guessing your just wanting run hose to the original metal lines?
Well if this is right then you can get hose to do it with but instead of heater hose you need fuel injection fuel hose.

Its good to 180 psi i used this on a corolla i built its best to put 2 good quality hose clamps on each end just to make sure it stays.

Congratulation s on the progress.  Ideally, the computer will control the relay for the fuel pump.  You should also employ at least one safety device to stop the pump in case of an accident: inertia (impact) switch, a oil pressure switch, etc.  Keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case.
