Title: inertia fuel pump switch
Post by: oldeguy on February 17, 2011, 08:18:09 AM
building a 2.3 EFI turbo pinto, need a inertia switch. Looking at the Ranger switch...will this support the current draw of a 255 lph Walbro pump? or other recommendations? Thanks...

Draw your Walbro power directly from the battery/starter solenoid (thru a big fuze or appropriate fuzable link) via a 30 or 40 amp relay.  Wire the inertia switch into the control circuit of the relay (either the low amp power or the ground).  Belt and suspenders safety!
