for those who may not know, i am relavtively new to this club (although i've already decided to pay my dues ) and i purchased a 1976 Pinto 2.3L 3door a few weeks ago.
and since then i'm either on my laptop learning more about the car, out in my garage cleaning/inspecting/fixing Shelly (my pinto's name), or at work.
however the more i see this particular Trim of the Pinto, the more i'm thinking of making a Period Correct exterior of the 1976 Pinto Stallion.

has anyone done this before? was it worth it? would you try it if you had the chance?
no i have not done it but have seen the deacls for the fender on line and i would do it
you have a good start with the car being silver
Hey, you've got a silver '76 so what do you have to lose? I say, "Go for it!" Should make for a sharp looking car!

my vote is YES!!!!!!!! Do It! :)
I would love to do this on a wagon - I think it would be a wonderful "one-off", non-original but certainly appealing.

yea but it was repainted by Maaco and it wasnt a very good job... its beginning to bubble and flake in some areas... however the car was originally silver from the factory, so it should flake right back to the original paint lol
i think i only want to replicate the exterior of the Stallion, i'm currently redoing some of the suspension to my own specifications, and i have plans for the little 2.3L (muahahaha!)
I also want to get my hands on a T5 or a T9 transmission
check these out! if only they were real CW's!!!

Pretty sharp model!
Dwayne
spose the Stallion would look better with or without a hotpants kit?
i'm kicking that around as well... only bit of a bother there is that the hot pants kit kind of reduced the clearance in the wheel wells.... and i'd like to fit some meatier tires on her
I have an 80' Pinto Wagon that has " Steel Stallion" markings on it. I have done research on it and haven't come up with any information.
Thats a great looking model there! I love the 1:1 inspirational shot!! Wicked looking.
