Title: Mustang front end ?
Post by: Reeves1 on February 08, 2011, 06:17:11 PM
Anyone ever do one or even think of it ?
Think it would look good ?

I think a front end like below would look really good...

I wouldn't do it to a stock Pinto, but for a V8 Pinto the  extra nose could give much needed room for the radiator, etc. I always thought the 1969 (Mach 1)was the best body style the Mustang ever had.

If i was gunna do it i would just buy a eleanor kit and use all the fiberglass parts to cut and mod as needed to fit.

Plus then you could have an eleanor pinto!

Didn't know about the Eleanor kits: http://www.trophymustang.com/eleanor-fiberglass-body-p-6488.html

I guess anything can be done.....with money ! LOL !

Hanto - what is the story on that Mustang in the picture ?

I am sorry, there is only one Eleanor in my life.  The original 1973 Yellow and Black.  The remake had great stunts and Hollywood, but the "B" movie was a treasure and was the reason they did a remake. For those who haven't seen it, you could probably find it in the Wallmart cart for $2.00 Plus the ending was better.

The 69 Mustang in the picture I have owned since 1987. The poor thing keeps waiting for me to fully assemble it. Every nut, bolt and screw has been replaced or restored. I nearly finished it but found 1970 Mustang that I started to put my efforts into. Sold that one to go into vinage racing. The 69 is a convertible with a mildly built 351W (was born with the 351). I added an original 351W 69 Shaker scoop (super rare), Mag 500s (69 small hole), C-6 trans, etc, etc. BUT found the 70 R code 428 Convertible (1 of 47 total production not counting 134 Shelbys) and started on that. I sold it to fund a 1966 race preped 1966 Lotus Cortina that I raced for several years. Snapped an axle at speed hence my Lotus/Pinto Trans-Am project. I still have the lonely 69 in my garage waiting for me to finish the Pinto :rolleye:

Hanto - question from brother : Why would he sell that 428 convert? That is a nice car.

QuoteYou mean something like this one?

Nope (although I do like the shaker !).
Brother found this one.... 1978 Pinto/1969 Mustang

Would have been faster if painted blue. Blue is slipperier, you know !

Looks like a photshop gone wrong.  Proportions of the mustang look shrunk and stretched down.

Nope (although I do like the shaker !).
