Title: 2.3 turbo swap
Post by: oldeguy on January 29, 2011, 11:32:30 AM
new to all efi stuff so, going to asking a bunch of (dumb) questions, old school carb guy you know...
this looks like an after-market adjustable fuel regulator? It has a billet alum. body and a tube that connects to downstream of the TB. Does this hange the fuel pressure based on vacuum or boost conditions? see the picture attached...

Yes that's an aftermarket FPR not sure what brand.  The line should be ran to a vaccum source it hooked to the metal line coming off the side of the upper intake from the factory. the FP will be based off both vaccum and boost at and idle the FP will be lower and when it sees boost it should raise the FP 1-1. So if your running 15 psi of boost it should raise the FP 15 lbs.

Got anymore pics of what your working on? i see its got a larger throttle body since the throttle cables got the adapter for one!

I'm doing a 2.3T into a 78 bobcat! It outta be fun the Turbocoupe was fun and weighs almost double what the bobcat weighs.
