I'm tired of warped rotors! I have had guys tell me to grease the caliper and hanger, and I've had them tell me not to. If I do, it collects brake dust and road dirt and they don't slide. If I don't they rust and won't slide. I realize the design is supposed to be simple and cheep but it is not very good. The outside pad never really leaves the rotor, heating it constantly and wearing out the pad way before the inside.
Does anyone know of a swap that uses two or four pistons? I'm not looking for an aftermarket system that costs hundreds of dolars, don't have much money, unless someone has on they want to sell me cheep. More looking for a stock Ford or Mercury that can be hung on the stock spindle.
