Title: 1975 Bobcat Ideas for Swap
Post by: 75BOBCAT on December 13, 2010, 01:54:42 PM
I've come to the conclusion that rebuilding the original 2.8L would be a long, expensive process because of the rarity of the parts and components.  I'd really like a 4 CYL EFI, or carb compared to anything because of the reliabilty i've learned the little engines have.  I'm a total gear head at heart and have many idea's and now I'm open to suggestions since the pros have more experience.  Any ideas would be helpful!!   :coolrasta:

myself im for now going to just buy a remanufactured 2.8l Engine. Im just trying to find the German 2.8 from around the Same era. the german one seems to have more power to it. =) im sure i could get the same power from the US 2.8l but Im not in the mood to parts hunt for performance Adders . Id try and find a rebuild kit for yours. Autozone might carry it. or BAP or Checker even perhaps CarQuest might carry them Id look into it.
