 Did Ford ever make roller fallowers for the 2.3 thanks Richy

They did. Not sure exactly what years but I've heard that early 90's rangers have roller setups, and I know I pulled my setup from a 91 mustang.

I have a 93 Mustang and a 94 Ranger that have. Had a 89 Ranger that did not have.  Fred

Can the cam & roller follwers be used on 70-80 2.3 cyl. heads thanks Richy

I have not tried it, but from what I have read, it is a popular swap for improved reliability.  It seems like the dual plug heads have the roller cams.  Since there are always exceptions, you would need to pull the valve cover to make sure.  Some where in the mid-90's, Ford went to a smaller 7mm diameter valve stem.  I do not believe the roller rockers for the 7mm valves will fit over the larger valve stems of the earlier engines.

The 91 mustang I pulled my roller cam and followers from was a dual plug head.

I'm not entirely sure of the valve stem diameter as my cousin assembled the head and purchased parts for me, however the roller rockers/followers DO fit well on them without excessive movement.
