Title: V8 swappers - what starter?

Have a 72 with a 72 302, manifolds not headers. What's the smallest 302/5.0 starter and do they all bolt up & work the same? Even with the smaller Mustang II flywheel?

Factory or aftermarket?

Specific suggestions?

SHAME SHAME!. LOL

I used a CSR starter aftermarket. Mainly because i wanted the engine as low as possible. It worked cause the stock starter woulve hit the crossmember with the extra 1.5 lower i got mine. However a stock starter will work just i woulnt even think of it because of reliabilty. Get an aftermarket starter for a 302 c4 auto trans combo and it will work fine. The application is the same for the mustang II just that most if not all aftermarket manufactures never include that very rare setup in there application information.
