I'm gonna do it----the v8 swap that is
From an old engine mechanic I bought 2 302's and a 351 windsor. The 351 is in a '78 van connected to a tranny c4?. One of the 302's was rebuilt and never started. My current resto is a stock 2.0 in a 73 wagon. I plan to finish it. WHat I'm asking for is just to see a v8 in a Pinto and to ask a few questions. pictures? Can anyone help? I'm in Hesperia/ Victorville area.
Happy Thanksgiving and safe holidays

There are a lot guys here with V8 Pintos. I'll shoot ya some pics.
I'm dropping a 351w in my 79 crusing wagon w/ c4 and a narrowed 9",all new frame rails etc. One thing I have come to find out is fact of a 351w is a little wider & taller than alot of the basic pinto v/8 stuff does not work the same as it would on a 302 swap. Instead of 8#s in a 5# bag it's more like 10#s in a 5# bag, but remember " if it was easy everyone would be doing it".No matter which way you decide the out come is a cool ride that's a whole lot of fun.

I have had both a 302 and 351w in my car. Look into backdating your steering rack. I have my engine sitting fairly high due to my rack and oil pan that I am running. I have also run my exhaust backwards. Any questions, please email me at opus.nbill@verizon.net.
Good Luck.
