Post by: pintowagonDERBY on October 14, 2010, 12:28:00 AM
how much psi is needed to run a 79-80 2.3 motor? the parts stores carb. pumps only go up to 7psi. im looking for a external pump so if 7 is enough pressure ill go buy it.

thanks

If I recall it is only 3-5 PSI if you are using an electric pump. I have a 5 PSI pump on my 78 Sedan but it isn't connected because I couldn't find a regulator to bring it down to 4 that has a return valve on it.

alright cool, they have a 3-5 psi if i recall. if not ill just get the other 1. i wont really need a regulator on it as its a derby car. just need to have enough pressure to keep it running and enough not to flood it
