I recently contacted a person with a post on Wisconsin Collector Car web site looking for 72-79 cars for a movie to be shot in Wisconsin and Chicago this coming March. He is looking for suttile back ground cars. He does not want red, black or white cars . Also wants to avoid muscle cars and convertibles. My Pinto is far from suttile, but he is going to pitch it to the producers as a primary car in the movie.
Reading the first conditions (March/Chicago/Wisconsin), I would be curious as to what the expectations are for your car and what you are willing to do with it/expose it to. With cold and snow conditions in both areas at that time of year, would your car be required to sit outdoors, and/or would it need to be driven? Will it be parked on the roadside and covered with snow, or in a parking garage? Would it need to be equipped with snow tires?
While he said he wanted "subtle background cars", his pitch to make it a primary car may well indeed affect how/where they plan to use it and what it will be exposed to. Given the beautiful condition of your car, and the work you performed, perhaps these things need to be considered. In the end, it's your baby, and only you can decide what is appropriate for it. Good luck!

Yes I will have to consider all that. Ill just have to wait and see if any thing comes of it or not and make the desion then.
keep us posted...
Bad news they have "shelved" the movie for now. It was getting too expensive because of the people "attached" to it. Here is my contact's explination of how it works:
Back to stars being Attached to potential films: Hollywood's a creative place with creative contracts. It's fairly common for the star to get one fee to have their name associated with a film, another fee if the film is made with them in it, and still another fee if the film is made without them.
There are too many people attached to the project. They can't afford to cast everyone attached, and they can't afford to pay off those who wouldn't be cast if they made the film.
So actors can earn millions from a project that they never appear in ! Just thought everyone would like to know.
